Rehabilitation Manager

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Rehabilitation Manager to join our Physical Therapy Weight Loss Clinic (PTWLC) in Jefferson Park (area of Chicago, IL). The ideal PT candidate will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients while also overseeing our PTWL Clinic therapy staff. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and the ability to manage the clinic as well as patient care effectively while adhering to healthcare regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to determine their physical therapy needs.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments and goals.
  • Implement therapeutic interventions to improve patients' mobility, strength, and overall physical function.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Educate patients and their families about treatment options, exercises, and preventive care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient care in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care for patients.
  • Participate in utilization management activities to optimize patient outcomes while managing resources effectively.
  • Assist in fiscal management activities related to the physical therapy department, including budgeting and resource allocation.
Requirements

  • Valid Physical Therapist license in the state of practice.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with healthcare regulations such as JCAHO and HIPAA.
  • Experience with utilization management, financial management, and budgeting is preferred.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record systems such as Epic is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong analytical skills for assessing patient needs and outcomes.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a hospital or clinical setting.
