Lead Medical Technologist (Lab Supervisor)

Pay: $75,000 to $90,000 annually plus benefits.

Must be very familiar with all aspects of Laboratory setting including blood bank, chemistry, hematology and quality control check in order to qualify for the position.

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Medical Technologist (MT) to lead laboratory operations and ensure compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in laboratory procedures, including histology and microbiology, as well as familiarity with FDA regulations and CGMP. This role involves supervising laboratory staff, managing data collection processes, and contributing to research development initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily laboratory operations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
  • Lead the execution of laboratory procedures, including histological and microbiological analyses.
  • Ensure compliance with FDA regulations and CGMP guidelines within the laboratory environment.
  • Manage the implementation and maintenance of Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) for efficient data tracking.
  • Coordinate training programs for laboratory staff to enhance skills in data collection and laboratory techniques.
  • Collaborate with research teams to support ongoing development projects and ensure accurate results.
  • Conduct regular audits of laboratory practices to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific field (e.g., Biology, Microbiology, or related discipline).
  • Proven experience in a laboratory setting, with a focus on histology and microbiology preferred.
  • Strong understanding of FDA regulations and CGMP practices.
  • Proficiency in data collection methodologies and laboratory information management systems.
  • Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to lead a team effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in all laboratory activities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and collaborate across departments.
  • Must be very familiar with all aspects of Laboratory setting including blood bank, chemistry, hematology and quality control check in order to qualify for the position.
